Capt. Deepak Tewari joined MSC way back in year 2001 as CEO MSC, India which he continuing till date along with the added responsibility of being the Chairman – CSLA. MSC is a world leader in global container shipping and a company that prides itself on offering global service with local knowledge. The Container Shipping Lines Association is an eminent organization of foreign container shipping lines operating in India having 34 members at present. Capt. Mr Shantanu Bhadkamkar is a Second Generation Licensed Customs Broker & Full Service International Freight Forwarder; his company has a Pan-India presence with a global network of associates. He did OPM at Harvard Business School and is a Honorary Fellow of Narottam Morarjee Institute of Shipping (NMIS). He is currently the President of ‘Association of Multimodal Transport Operators in India’ (AMTOI). He also has an active association with several intra-urban, inter-urban, regional, national & international voluntary Organizations as an office bearer or board member. (On the forums of Associations & Chambers of Commerce, in addition to Group Advocacy, he has passionately pursued the cause of Professionalism & Professional Pride in the Sector, and Empowerment of Family Businesses. He is also nominated by Honorable President of India as Member on the Court of Indian Maritime University for a term of three years from December 2019. Appointed to be an esteemed Member of the Governing Body of Symbiosis Skill & Open University Pune. Appointed as a Member on the National Shipping Board approved by Ministry of Shipping New Delhi.
Romesh David is CEO of South Asia Gateway Terminals. Prior to his appointment as CEO of SAGT, he worked for 38 years at Sri Lanka’s premier blue-chip conglomerate, John Keells Holdings PLC, where he was President of the Transportation Group, responsible for strategic business units in the ports & shipping, logistics, airlines and aviation services sectors. A Chartered Fellow of the century old Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, he currently serves as International Vice President of CILT for South Asia and is a Global Advisor to WiLAT (Women in Transport & Logistics). He also serves as President of the Indo-Lanka Chamber of Commerce, is the Chairman of the National Agenda Committee on Transport & Logistics of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and a member of the IFC’s Women-in-Work, High-Level Advocacy Group in Sri Lanka.
Dhruv Kotak is the Managing Director of the J M BAXI GROUP of companies - a diversified business group involved in shipping & logistics. The Group has 104 years of Maritime experience and has, over the years, grown to be a truly global player with its customers spread across 55 countries, and offices in over 63 cities across India and the world.
Dhruv is a fourth-generation entrepreneur, he joined the business when he was 15, and has worked his way up. He has been instrumental in making J M BAXI GROUP a truly global organisation as also an acknowledged “Thought- Leader” in the Indian Maritime domain. He has played a key role not only in envisioning the Group’s growth strategy but also in steering the business forwards with substantial value- addition to its business portfolio.
A graduate from the INSEAD institute of Management, Dhruv is a keen sportsman and plays cricket, golf and tennis. He is also an avid trekker. He has great inter-personal skills and self-confidence and has put in two decades of hard work to successfully place the Group on the pedestal it is today.
Zeeshan joined the Maersk Group in 2004 and since then he has taken up different roles within the group across India, Singapore & Sri Lanka. During his career he has held various leadership roles in Sales & Customer Service. Prior to being appointed as IBS Area Customer Experience Manager, Zeeshan was the Country Manager for Maersk Line, in Sri Lanka and Maldives holding the office as the Managing Director of Maersk Lanka Private Limited. His current responsibilities include customer service & operational execution across the various products & solutions offered by Maersk
Kabir Ahmed is currently the Chairman of Conveyor Group of Companies, which has its’ headquarter in Dhaka, Bangladesh along with 12 subsidiary companies. Kabir Ahmed started his career in the freight forwarding business in 1992, with Quylink International Shipping, later known as Sarton Logistics Ltd., UK. He then started his own venture in 1998, Conveyor Logistics Limited (CLL), predominately a freight forwarding and industrial logistics company. Over the years, eight (8) more companies were launched for doing business in project cargo logistics, shipping, aviation and tourism, import and marketing, IT and import-export indenting under Conveyor Group. He serves as Executive Comm Member in various associations as President, BAFFA, President, International Air Express Association of Bangladesh (IAEAB) and Board of Director in Bangladesh Shipping Agents Association, Japan Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Spain-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In April 2019, Kabir Ahmed was elected as the Chairman of the World Freight Group, an apex trade body of world renowned project cargo handling companies.
Capt Ram Iyer India Representative of HAROPA Ports (Ports of Le Havre, Rouen & Paris) since 2008 and he is also associated with Seahorse Ship Agencies Pvt Ltd since 2001, a Ship agency house, with pan India network of offices. Vice President at Seahorse since 2012 and presently heading number of verticals in the organisation including Ship Manning, Operations, business development, Tramp vessel segment, NVOCC & Project cargo forwarding, International Port representation, Port Captaincy services, Vessel vetting Inspections, Insurance and Claims, Ship Chartering, COAs etc. He also serves. Actively associated with various shipping & trade associations in India (Including, CMMI, RBSS, CSLA, MANSA, BCC&I, CEUCCI, IFCCI etc etc) to further the cause of safe, clean and sustainable shipping environment
A lawyer by training, Mr. Anil Devli is an active member of the Indian maritime fraternity. He has been involved with the Indian shipping industry for over 20 years. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Indian National Shipowners’ Association, an organisation which is involved in furthering the interests of the Indian flag. He has varied experience in the business of ship owning & operations. In addition to his experience in pursuing policies for the growth of Indian shipping industry, he engages in thought contribution towards other maritime related activities. He is a strong believer that the growth of India as a world maritime power is of paramount importance and India's relevance and standing in the world is irretrievably linked to the growth of Indian flag shipping industry.
Shekhar Golchha is a Chairman & Managing Director of Hansraj Hulaschand and Co. Pvt. Ltd. (Country’s largest private sector trading company). Also, Sr. Vice President, (President – Elect) of Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI)
Vinit Kumar is an I.R.S.E.E. officer of 1993 batch. He has wide experience in operation, maintenance, infrastructure development and general administration. He took charge as Chairman of Kolkata Port Trust on 9th October, 2017. Earlier Kumar was Chief Electrical Engineer in Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation, and was looking after the World Bank funded MUTP Project. He held administrative post of Secretary, Central Railway and gained multi-dimensional experience in general administration. Kumar worked in Central Railway in Mumbai suburban system in maintenance and operations of rolling stock and traction installations. He also worked in Pune and Nagpur in independent charge of traction assets and locomotive workshop. He attained BE in Electrical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, and also holds PGDBA in marketing from Symbiosis Institute. Kumar has also undergone a training programme in Management from ICLIF, Malaysia and INSEAD, Singapore. He has widely travelled to various countries like UK, Sweden, and Germany for study of systems being followed there for operations, maintenance and infrastructure development.
Mr Surajit Sarkar is Chief Operating Officer (COO) in NICDC Logistics Data Services Limited. Mr Sarkar, an Economics (Hons) graduate and MBA in Marketing and Finance, has more than 18 years of experience in the shipping and logistics Industry. He has worked in various reputed companies like Forbes Patvolk, NNR Global, AFL and Gati. He has got rich experience in developing & streamlining systems and proven ability to enhance operational effectiveness and meet operational goals. He has successfully implemented SAP and other related ERPs across the organizations for shipping and logistics module. Mr Sarkar is voluntarily associated with Logistics Skills Council to promote Skill India program for the logistics sector under Pradhan Mantri Kushal Vikash Yogana (PMKVY).
Sh. V. Kalyana Rama is the youngest to become Chairman & Managing Director of Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR), a Navratna PSU under Ministry of Railways. He is a Mechanical Engineer with ICWAI. He is an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer of 1987 batch. He had worked in BHPV & BHEL before joining Indian Railways. Prior to joining Board of Directors of CONCOR as Director (Projects & Services), he held various assignments such as Executive Director, Chief General Manager in CONCOR. He had held various challenging assignments in his career with Indian Railways. He has been professionally trained in Railways and multi modal transport logistics. He was instrumental in development of container depots in South Central and Southern regions of CONCOR. He has been involved in all the developmental planning and operational activities of EXIM and Domestic cargo at the various dry port terminals of CONCOR. He has wide experience in the field of Engineering, System design, Railway & multi modal logistics operations and Project planning and commissioning.
Capt Sandeep Mehta is the President at Adani Ports & SEZ. He has previously served as CEO at Adani Ports Australia and also as CEO for Container Business of Adani Ports and SEZ, prior to which he was the President & CEO (Container & Logistics) for APSEZ and CEO for Container & Logistics operations of APSEZ. He has also served as CEO of Adani Agri Logistics Limited and as CEO of Adani Logistics Limited. Before taking up as President & CEO of Mundra Port & SEZ Ltd he was deputed as GM Strategic Operations Middle East, South Asia & Africa with P&O Nedlloyd. His initial stint was with Maersk Line as Regional Operations Manager and as Captain with V Ships. With almost 4 decades of experience, Capt. Mehta is a veteran of the Indian Maritime sector, especially the Ports, Shipping, Logistics and Infrastructure industries.
Prakash Tulsiani is the CEO - CFS-ICD, at Allcargo Logistics. He is a part of the senior leadership team driving the strategy to accomplish Allcargo’s business goals and objectives. He brings with him over three decades of experience and expertise in scaling businesses and expanding services.
Prior to joining Allcargo Logistics, Mr. Tulsiani served as the Managing Director of Gujarat Pipavav Port. He was responsible for the turnaround of the port and under his leadership the port was received recognition for its fast growth and connectivity to the hinterland. He has also worked at key management positions with internationally renowned organisations such as AP Terminals in Mumbai, A. P. Moller Maersk Group in Indonesia and GP Group of Companies in Thailand.
Mr. Tulsiani is a Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary by qualification, and also holds a degree in Law and Commerce. He is a governing board member of The Council of EU Chambers of Commerce in India.
Mr. Naresh Kumar Agrawal is the Managing Director of Noble Logistics Nepal (P) Ltd., one of the leading International Freight Forwarding company to provide expertise in all facets of international logistics solution. He is in Executive Committee of Nepal Freight Forwarders Association since 2009 and currently serving as Treasurer and Advisor to Land Sea Committee. Mr. Agrawal has an experience of more than 25 years in Freight Forwarding business and he is highly regarded for his vision, experience and knowledge in the field of logistics sector. He is also Member to Road Transport Committee and Export Promotion Council of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FNCCI). He had participated in various National & International conferences. Mr. Agrawal is also a social activist and represents many community based Social Organization.
Mr. Anant Swarup, has over 25 years of experience of working in one of the world’s largest logistics organisation, the Indian Railway. He has a rich experience of handling trade issues, trade remedies, intellectual property rights apart from human resource management and logistics & supply chain. He has served on very important assignments like the Executive Director in the Railway Minister’s office and the Permanent Mission of India to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in Geneva. Mr. Anant Swarup has also handled important trade issues like North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), India’s trade relations with Latin America and ASEAN. He has been involved in the multilateral negotiations in the WTO and the plurilateral agreements like India-ASEAN FTA, India-MERCOSUR etc. He holds Master’s degree in Science and Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Law. Mr. Anant Swarup was born on 28 September 1967 at Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh.
