Capt. Deepak Tewari joined MSC way back in year 2001 as CEO MSC, India which he continuing till date along with the added responsibility of being the Chairman – CSLA. Mr Girish Kumar Surpur is currently working as Business Head for DMIC LDB Business Unit. Mr Girish has more than 15 years of experience in Presales, Business Development and Program Management. He has previously worked extensively in the Logistics & Supply Chain, and Business development across different domains. Mr Girish was one of the key members involved in the conceptualization of Logistics Databank for the Indian Logistics Industry and worked closely with multiple stakeholders across Indian Container transportation supply chain. He holds a Master’s Degree in Management from IIT, Roorkee and also holds engineering degree in Computer Science.
Mr Gangadhar Gude is founder and CEO of AtAI Labs Pvt.Ltd. He has begun his journey with the semiconductor sector at the young age of 18 years, under the aegis of his father Mr Dasaradha Gude, a pioneer in the semiconductor industry. Mr Gangadhar founded AtAI Labs Pvt.Ltd. (@AI) in 2018, an Applied AI company that works on the real time inferencing at the edge. Before founding @AI, he worked as a Methodology architect for over four years with AMD Inc. and Co-founded INVECAS. He is a graduate of Osmania University with a Bachelors in Electronics Engineering and an MS in VLSI from JNTU.
Shri N Sivasailam is a 1985 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer allotted to Karnataka Cadre. He is currently working as Special Secretary (Logistics) in the Department of Commerce. Shri Sivasailam has served as Additional Chief Secretary for Government of Karnataka and also served in various departments of the state as Principal Secretary. He has previously served as Managing Director in Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. In his earlier stint with the Central Government, he served as Deputy Secretary (AIS) in the M/o Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, he has also served as Special Secretary (Telecom). Shri Sivasailam graduated in Mechanical Engineering from University of Delhi. He did his Master’s in Business Administration at the Faculty Management Studies, University of Delhi, and Master’s in Social Policy & Planning from the London School of Economics and Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights Law (IPRL) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
A shipping, port and ocean cargo logistics professional with over 25 years of experience in deliveringmeasurable commercial results, Ms Vinita Venkatesh has done her MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad and studied at the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, London. Juggling two major roles at NCT & Ocean2Door, she advocates a thought and action process in the cargo logistics industry that promotes a holistic approach to bring to cargo owners the most efficient logistics for their cargoes and thereby realize business growth.
Mr Ajay Sahay is currently working as Director General and CEO at Federation of Indian Exports Organisation (FIEO). Mr Ajay has previously worked as Joint Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) for Government of India. He has also worked for Customs department as Designated Authority for the passbook scheme. He has also served as Assistant and Deputy DGFT, and probationer of the Group A Civil Service, and Probationary Officer in State Bank of India (SBI). Mr Ajay’s educational qualifications include Master’s Degree in History from Allahabad University, Doctor of Philosophy (Phd) in Business Management from Amity University, and St. Mary’s Convent.
Mr T S Ahluwlia is a Director at Dharmavir Exports Pvt. Ltd. Mr Ahluwlia has been in the business of exporting Food & Agricultural Commodities to Africa, Middle East and Europe from the last 20 Years. He has started his own company in 1995 and turned it into a public limited company in 2004. His educational background include engineering and he is a managing committee member of Federation of Indian Export Organization.
Prakash Tulsiani is a Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary by qualification. He also holds a degree in Law and Commerce. Mr. Tulsiani joined the leadership team at Allcargo Logistics in 2015 to head the Operations division. He is also responsible for the Project Forwarding division. He brings with him over three decades of experience and expertise in scaling businesses and expanding services.
Prior to joining Allcargo Logistics, Mr. Tulsiani was serving as the Managing Director of Gujarat Pipavav Port. He has also worked at key management positions with internationally renowned organizations such as AP Terminals in Mumbai, A. P. Moller Maersk Group in Indonesia and GP Group of Companies in Thailand.
Mr Pratap S Chauhan is currently working as President at Trident Group. In the current role he is involved in budgeting, and planning the warehouse and worldwide logistics and negotiating with shipping lines for worldwide sea ports, as well as overseeing distribution & logistics function of retail operations. His role also includes negotiations and finalizing of transport and warehouse contracts for all India locations. Mr Pratap has previously offered services as General Manager in Grasim Industries Limited, as General Manager Logistics in Amira Foods India Ltd, and as General Manager Shipping in Best Textiles Ltd. His educational qualifications include B.Sc with Physics Chemistry Maths from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, PGDMA in Commercial & Financial from Indian Institute PWE Delhi, and MBA in International Business from Alagappa University.
Shailesh joined Drewry as a Consultant in 2003, as part of the consultancy team in India. He has broad experience in the maritime sector and is experienced in preparing traffic and feasibility studies and in undertaking commercial due diligence and strategic analysis. In Drewry he has worked on a number of consultancies, including assignments for ports, Indian and international financial institutions, PE Funds, international port operators and logistics players.
Mr T Venkataraman’s career commenced with the 10 years stint at the Scindia Steam Navigation Co. Ltd, where he honed his skills in P& I, Hull Insurance and other legal matters. He had the distinction of having planned and executed to successful maritime projects viz. Balaji Shipping & Shreyas Shipping. Together with R Gopal in the year 1997, he established Goodrich Maritime Pvt. Ltd., the flagship of what is known today as Goodrich group. Mr T Venkataraman has a first class degree in science with additional qualifications in Law, Shipping and Marine Insurance. He is also a ‘F’ card holder in Indian customs, having passed the Rule 9 exam.
Mr Pinto, a retired IAS officer and MA in Public Administration, has served in various capacities both at state and the centre. He donned the hats of CEO of MIDC, VC & MD of MSRDC, Chairman and MD of Handicrafts and Handlooms Export Corporation of India, Chairman of MSEB, Chairman Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, Minister (Economic) Embassy of India, Paris and Secretary (Shipping) to the Government of India. In his extensive career, Mr Pinto has chaired the committee which was responsible for Maharashtra’s presentation to the 12th Finance Commission.
Ms Geeta Uppal is a Top Leader in Supply Chain & Logistics Team Heading Container Shipping, Road Transportation & Warehousing for Petchem Logistics. She joined Reliance Industries Ltd. In 2012. She has the experience of almost two decades in the Shipping & Maritime Industry and previously served in top two global Shipping lines like P&O Nedlloyd, Maersk Line & Damco (AP Moller Maersk Group). Ms Geeta Uppal was awarded ‘WOMAN PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR’ in September 2015. She is also a board member of the Shipping & Logistics Committee at the Indian Merchant Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Ms Geeta earned her graduation from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai and MBA in Marketing Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.
Ugo Vincent is the Managing Director of CMA CGM India , heading the activities of CMA CGM Group and its subsidiaries in India. Mr Raghavendran as CEO of FreightBro strategizes and manages the team at with his rich expertise in technology & logistics. His entrepreneurial journey began with a clear aim to solve complex challenges faced by the freight forwarding industry and to improve the overall user experience for freight forwarders and their customers alike. Ashish Mathur heads the technology initiatives for Allcargo Group’s next phase of growth as the Group Chief Information Officer (GCIO). He has played strategic roles in organisations such as Fidelity (FIS), Aon Hewitt, Barclays bank and WNS. At Maesrsk, the global container shipping leader, he was instrumental in setting up robotics practice.
Through his career, he has been instrumental in managing entire gamut of IT services including global infrastructure support, application and ERP development, business continuity (BC) and information security. With a rich experience of 28 years, Mathur is set to oversee and drive Allcargo’s tech-based growth strategy that will provide advanced tech-enabled business services to our customers and consequently sustain and ascertain Allcargo’s industry leadership. He holds an Engineering degree in Electronics & Communication from B.I.T. (Ranchi) and an MBA in Systems & Finance from XLRI, Jamshedpur. He is well regarded in the industry for his thought leadership, inspirational abilities and strong value system.
Mr Bhavik Mota is currently Head of Product for South Asia in A.P. Moller – Maersk. Prior to the current role in the company he has served in various capacities including Head of Trade and Marketing for India, Bangladesh, SriLanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives, Head of Operations for India and Sri Lanka, and General Manager, Intermodal and Equipment Management, India. Mr. Bhavik has previously served Maersk Line as Commercial Imports Manager, India, and Assistant Manager, Equipment Management West central Asia. He was also part of Maersk International Shipping Education (MISE). Mr Bhavik’s educational qualifications include B. com from RA Poddar College of Economics and Commerce, and Master’s degree in Marketing from Somaiya Institute of Management studies and Research.
Mr Pranab K. Jha is currently designated as Vice President – Group Shipping in JSW Steel Ltd. His primary objective at the current designation is to develop a Global business strategy for the group’s shipping and logistics requirements and to drive optimization across processes in shipping. Mr Jha has been with JSW Group ever since 2010, he is directly responsible for the group’s 50 million ton per annum Bulk, Break Bulk and Containerized cargo movement. Prior to the current role he headed Business Development for JSW Group’s Infrastructure vertical. Mr Jha in his previous assignments has conceptualized and introduced the 8000 DWT River Sea Vessels for raw material movement for JSW Group’s coast based plant and successfully initiated the Road and Railway connectivity projects for Jaigarh Port.
Mr Surajit Sarkar is Chief Operating Officer (COO) in DMICDC Logistics data Services Ltd (A JV between NICDIT and NEC Corporation Japan). Mr Sarkar, an Economics (Hons) graduate and MBA in Marketing and Finance, has more than 18 years of experience in the shipping and logistics Industry. He has worked in various reputed companies like Forbes Patvolk, NNR Global, AFL and Gati. He has got rich experience in developing & streamlining systems and proven ability to enhance operational effectiveness and meet operational goals. He has successfully implemented SAP and other related ERPs across the organizations for shipping and logistics module. Mr Sarkar is voluntarily associated with Logistics Skills Council to promote Skill India program for the logistics sector under Pradhan Mantri Kushal Vikash Yogana (PMKVY).
Surya Narayan Lenka joined Tata Steel in 2002 and has worked in various capacities over the last 17 years spanning across functions such as Shipping & Logistics Operations, Corporate Strategy & Planning and Research & Development. Presently, he is heading container management & logistics services and is operating out of Tata Steel’s Corporate Office at Kolkata. Surya is a Metallurgical engineer from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela and obtained his post-graduation in Materials & Metallurgical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He holds Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and is a Chevening Scholar.
Mr Vivek Johri is currently working as Chief Commissioner of Customs at Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House (JNCH), Nhava Sheva. He is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 1985 batch. Mr Johri was posted as Minister (Customs) at the Permanent Mission of India at WTO in Geneva between 2012 and 2016. He has previously served as Joint Secretary (Tax Research) in the Ministry of Finance Government of India, and Additional Director General (Audit) for Government of India. Mr Johri’s educational qualifications include BA (Hons), Economics from St. Stephen's College, Diploma in Fiscal & Monetary Policy from Institute of Fiscal & Monetary Policy, Tokyo, and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Swinburne University of Technology.
Capt. Swaminathan Rajagopalan is Commercial Director for CMA CGM Agencies India. His role involves meeting the Group objectives for sales activities, brand promotion, marketing and promoting the value added services. He is a Master Mariner having sailed on wide range of vessels including bulk carriers, RoRo, heavy lifts, tankers and cellular container vessels. His educational qualifications include a post graduate degree in International business operations. He is the visiting faculty at the prestigious NAROTTAM MORARJEE INSTITUTE OF SHIPPING and also involved with the academic council of NMIS. He is also a member of industry associations viz. Co-Chairman – ASSOCHAM, Secretary – SPNM.
Adarsh Hegde has been associated with Allcargo Logistics since its inception. With over two and half decades of experience in the field of logistics, he has been instrumental in the success of Allcargo Logistics' growth story. Under his leadership, Allcargo Logistics established 6 CFS & ICD facilities PAN India, making Allcargo CFS & ICD division one of the largest private players in the country. He continues to lead the blue print and strategy for the division. With his extensive experience & proficiency in transportation, he has contributed to the set-up the Allcargo Logistics Project Forwarding division. He is also a part of the leadership team at ECU-Line with respect to driving international procurement initiative and organisation-wide planning. After finishing his mechanical engineering from Nitte Education Trust, Mangalore, he started his career as an Assistant Maintenance Engineer with Eastern Ceramics Private Limited, Mumbai in 1987.
